Power comes from the bottom of the rpm range while the flat torque curve ensures big power is available through the rpm range. The electronic fuel injection ensures intense throttle response for a thrilling experience.

YOUR PERSONAL FUN ASSISTANT
The Kawasaki Smart Steering® system is a supplementary steering system designed to assist riders as they learn to turn and maneuver the JET SKI® SX-X 160. The system can detect the rider’s steering input and speed of operation and automatically increases engine speed to provide additional thrust, even when the throttle is not being applied. If speed is low, the system does not operate.

Thanks to a unique, fixed-handlebar setup, you can control the JET SKI® SX-X 160 PWC from a central position, which facilitates handling. The handlebar pole base is smoothly integrated into the hood and an MX-style handlebar features a sporty pad, adding to the racy look. The grips are rounded for a solid hold, while the handlebar cover features an all-new shape and design.

The specially designed deck of the JET SKI® SX-X 160 provides ample space to stand and shift your weight, while the high side deck fins offer support while riding. The engine hood’s compact shape also provides space for your knees.

When developing the hull, Kawasaki incorporated lessons from extensive knowledge of previous stand-up JET SKI® models and racing for more precise handling and turning performance. Agile handling is complemented by high stability and ample power from the in-line 4-cylinder marine engine.

In 1986, Kawasaki introduced the JET SKI X-2, a stand-up PWC with a short hull and fixed handlebar that went on to gain popularity because of its rider-friendly handling and how fun it was to ride. Now, the JET SKI® SX-X 160 PWC is here to continue the rider-friendly platform that became popular 40 years ago.

Combined with the efficient 4-stroke marine engine, a large, 6.1-gal (23 L) fuel tank offers excellent range. Engine and fuel warning lamps are built into the base of the handlebars, so you’ll always know when to re-fuel.

THE KEY TO THRILLS
A key-operated magnetic ignition switch discourages theft of your PWC. The wrist lanyard connected to the engine stop switch automatically stops the engine if you fall overboard.

The engine hood’s sleek, flowing lines are distinctly JET SKI® style while the handlebar’s integration provides a seamless silhouette.
The engine’s hood not only looks the part but also provides easy access for engine maintenance. The hood is lockable and includes a mesh holder for smaller items.
STAND-UP DESIGN
LIGHTWEIGHT HULL
Designed for exceptional cornering in the water, the lightweight hull design is shared with the JET SKI® SX-R™ 160, offering the ideal combination of high stability and superb cornering performance. The hull features a Kawasaki Splash Deflector (KSD), which is a lateral strip on the forward section that reduces water splashing at speed and in rough conditions.
