A key element of the motorcycle’s design is its tall, compact front cowl that shows off the condensed front end. Clear panels surrounding the front cowl are reminiscent of authentic rally-inspired styling that also provide a clear view of the terrain and enhanced wind protection for long-distance riding comfort. The instrument panel is set at an angle so it can be viewed even when standing, characteristic of rally-raid style. A multi-purpose bar above the display offers an easy place to mount electronic accessories such as GPS.

At the focal point of the front end is a compact triple LED headlight. The two upper lights are low beams and the single lower light is the high beam. Combined, they provide excellent lighting performance while the unique styling displays a strong Kawasaki family image. LED turn signals along with a vertically slim LED taillight in the rear round out the all-LED lighting package.

The combination of 21-in front and 17-in rear wheels with aluminum rims and steel spokes distinguish the adventure-ready style of the new KLE®650 ABS motorcycle. Superb bump absorption and reduced unsprung weight contribute to confidence-inspiring handling. Tube-style Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires provide long-distance comfort and enhanced handling performance on paved roads. The KLE®650 SE ABS motorcycle is equipped with a tubeless tire setup.

A relaxed rider triangle with an elevated handlebar position and slightly forward footpeg location provides a natural fit for a wide range of riders. The wide, forward-positioned handlebar is comfortable for both sitting and standing. The rubber insert of the footpeg can be removed without tools to reveal off-road-style footpegs for increased grip. KX-inspired ergonomics, slim and smooth bodywork, and flat engine covers facilitate rider movement for optimum comfort and control across different riding conditions.

Long-travel suspension on the new KLE®650 ABS motorcycle is equipped to deliver precise handling on paved roads and composed character over unpaved terrain. The 43mm KYB cartridge-type inverted front fork and New Uni-Trak® rear suspension deliver excellent wheel travel (8.3-in front and 7.7-in rear). Stepless adjustable spring preload on the shock allows you to fine tune for rider weight or for riding 2-up.

Dual, large-diameter 300mm front disc brakes gripped by 2-piston calipers and a 230mm rear disc with 2-piston caliper provide exceptional stopping performance. Standard selectable ABS enables you to disable ABS function according to your preference by way of a switch at the right handlebar. ABS returns to its default setting after restarting.

The Assist & Slipper clutch offers an extremely light feel at the lever with a wide engagement range to help facilitate control. When excessive engine braking occurs, the slipper cam relieves pressure on the clutch plates to help prevent the rear tire from hopping or skidding.

Two modes of Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) cover a wide range of riding conditions, offering enhanced sport riding performance and confidence across low-grip surfaces. When turned on, you can select from two modes for differing levels of intervention during riding. KTRC function can also be turned off.
• Mode 1 provides the least amount of assistance with sport riding in mind.
• Mode 2 offers more assistance to reduce engine output to allow grip to be regained when excessive wheel spin is detected.

Maintain your desired speed with the simple press of a few buttons. Electronic Cruise Control can be activated and controlled from the left handlebar, enabling you to travel long distances in greater comfort. Speed can be adjusted using + and – buttons. Operating the brake lever, clutch lever, rear brake pedal, or shifting gears will disengage Electronic Cruise Control.

Wind is kept at bay via a rally-style 3-position adjustable windscreen. The lowest setting allows maximum view that is helpful for seated off-road riding, while the highest setting blocks the most wind to keep you comfortable at higher speeds.

With 4 unique setups available, it’s easy to find your ideal seating arrangement. The standard combination (High/High) seat is tailored for on-road comfort and daily use, complete with specially designed cushioning for long-ride comfort. A 34.3-in seat height balances a comfortable reach to the ground with a relaxed knee bend. The standard stepped seating provides lumbar support while a fully flat setup (High/Low) facilitates greater rider movement ideal for off-road riding. Low and ERGO-FIT® seats are available as Kawasaki Genuine Accessories.

The slim-designed rally-style fuel tank helps create a seamless rider interface that facilitates mobility and enables good contact with the motorcycle. With a 4.2-gal capacity, the fuel tank balances weight with riding range.

More luggage capacity means more possibilities for adventure, and the new 3-case-capable KLE®650 ABS motorcycle is ready to add more potential to your ride. The rigid subframe is designed to support carrying 2 hard saddlebags and a top case, all available as Kawasaki Genuine Accessories.

Available as standard equipment on the KLE®650 SE ABS motorcycle is a dual-direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) that enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts for seamless acceleration and easy deceleration. KQS functions from a low minimum rpm, making slower riding speeds smooth and comfortable.

Experience even greater ride comfort and protection with a larger windscreen on the new KLE®650 SE ABS motorcycle. At 4.2-in taller than the standard windscreen, longer journeys are more enjoyable with increased wind blocking.

A D.I.D aluminum fat-type handlebar contributes to both the comfort and rugged build quality of the new KLE®650 SE ABS. For maximum rider comfort, it also comes equipped with metal-reinforced hand guards.

The new KLE®650 SE ABS motorcycle enhances the protection of the engine area with an even larger aluminum skid plate that extends farther on the front and sides.

Tubeless-type front and rear wheels wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tubeless tires enable flat tire repair without having to replace a tube. Shock-absorbing wire spokes provide superb bump absorption while reducing unsprung weight.
