Gerloff Concludes First Season with Kawasaki WorldSBK Team at Jerez

Jerez, Spain (October 19, 2025) – Garrett Gerloff and the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team brought their 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship campaign to a close at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, with the American rider securing points in Race One before an unfortunate technical issue ended his season prematurely in Race Two.

Under hot and dry Andalusian conditions, Gerloff qualified 15th in Superpole on Saturday, which became 14th on the starting grid after a rider withdrawal. In the 20-lap opening race, he maintained a steady rhythm between 13th and 15th positions before regaining one place in the final laps to finish 14th and add more points to his season tally.

Sunday’s program featured two races to conclude the year. In the ten-lap Superpole Race, Gerloff crossed the line in 17th, narrowly missing out on championship points. In the final full-length race of the season, he showed improved pace and battled for positions inside the top fifteen before a technical issue forced his retirement on lap 15.

Gerloff finished his debut season with Kawasaki 15th overall in the WorldSBK Championship, earning 88 points and achieving a best result of sixth place at Donington Park. The team will remain at Jerez for a one-day test on October 21, beginning early preparations for the 2026 season.

Garrett Gerloff – #31
“It’s been a long season with some highs and lows. This weekend wasn’t one of our best, but there have been moments this year where we showed real potential. Race Two ended early with a technical issue, which was disappointing, but that’s racing. The team has worked incredibly hard all year, and I’m thankful for their effort and dedication. We’ll regroup quickly and start testing right away here at Jerez. I’m optimistic about the changes we’re planning and excited to see how they pay off heading into 2026.”
