Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green Rider Caleb Wood Tops the Podium at Mason-Dixon

MOUNT MORRIS, Pa. (June 2, 2025) - Mud has been abundant on the Grand National Cross Country Racing Series menu so far in 2025, and this past weekend in Pennsylvania was more of the same. Heavy rain fell on Friday afternoon, making for sloppy conditions during Sunday’s races. Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green wouldn’t let the weather stop them, as they were eager to get back on top of the podium.

Caleb Wood took the win in the 4-Stroke A Lites Class. He was able to grab the holeshot and lead the first two laps until a tip-over dropped him back to fourth. Wood remounted his KX250X and charged to the front, making the pass back for the lead and crossing the finish line with over a minute gap on second place.

Steward Baylor started in 11th place in the XC1 Class but quickly made his way into the lead pack, starting Lap 3 in first place. From that point on, Baylor battled hard with another rider before an unfortunate crash with a lapper ruined his chances to take the lead. He remounted to finish second in the XC1 Class. “Battling for the lead was really fun out there. Tangling with the lapper just ended my charge. It's tough because I know I was good enough to win today. The positive is that I am leaving healthy, so I’ll be back for another try at it,” said Baylor.

Josh Toth had an up-and-down day, but finished strong for fourth in the XC2 Class. “My first lap was good. On my second and third laps, I made some mistakes and took some bad lines, but the last lap I charged hard and made up some ground. Just too little, too late,” said Toth.

Rachael Archer had a great race, leading a good portion of it before finishing second in the WXC Class. “I felt good, the track was good, the bike was good. I just made too many mistakes. I don’t know how many times I passed for the lead only to fall in the next corner. I’ll work on cleaning that up in the next few weeks,” said Archer.

The team will race again this weekend at the Flying W National Enduro in Missouri.
