BABBITT’S ONLINE/MONSTER ENERGY®/KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN BATTLE THROUGH ADVERSITY AT THE OLD GREY GRAND NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY

Monterey, Tennessee - The fifth round of the GNCC series took the team to a new location in western Tennessee, where KX450X pilot Grant Baylor would battle back from a poor start and work his way through the rock-ridden course for three hours to earn a top-ten finish. XC-1 teammate Lyndon Snodgrass would run into trouble on the opening lap and be forced to withdraw from the competition.

Torrential rain in the week leading up to the inaugural event made for treacherous race conditions that would favor those who executed a good start, which was unfortunately not on the cards for either rider, with Snodgrass entering the woods mid-pack and Baylor being the last rider to round the first turn.

Shortly after entering the woods on Lap One, Snodgrass would be forced to retire from the competition early due to a misfortunate event with this motorcycle. The South Carolina native of Baylor, however, would come through on lap one in the tenth place position. Baylor would spend the next two and a half hours dicing his way through the competition and rocks to come across the finish line in sixth-place.

The next round of the GNCC series will take place on April 28th at the famous Ironman MX facility in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where both Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green riders will look to right the wrongs of this past weekend.
