Kawasaki Team Green™ Puts on a Strong Performance at Mammoth Motocross

The 51st annual Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross was nothing short of phenomenal as the roster of Kawasaki Team Greenwas once again on-hand to provide industry-leading trackside support while the KX™ roster collected 17 coveted, hand-carved bear trophies as the wins stacked up to an impressive five AMA Major Championships.

Kicking off the event for Kawasaki Team Green was Jeremy McGrath, grabbing holeshots and setting fast laps in the +30 Pro class aboard his 2018 KX450F, before sharing some sentiments and expertise to Kawasaki mini-bike riders as the week went on.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green's Ryder DiFrancesco applied some of McGrath's advice and rode his KX™85 and KX™100 flawlessly, taking home eight bears, the Holeshot King award, and three overall championship titles in the85cc (9-12), Mini Sr. 1 (12-13), and Mini Sr. 2 (9-14) classes; but it wasn't without challenge from his teammate, Chance Hymas. The pair of Team Green riders split moto wins in the Mini Sr. 1 (12-13), giving Hymas second overall.

Hymas also contested 85cc (9-12) class alongside DiFrancesco, where he finished in a respectable third place. DiFrancesco would prove to be the class of the field, sweeping both motos in 85cc (9-12) and Mini Sr. 2 (9-14) classes. In addition, Hymas also competed in a fourth class, Supermini 1, where he scored fifth in the first moto and a DNF in the second moto, after an unfortunate tip over that cost him third late in the race.

Big bike racing started off with a bang for Team Green, as Dilan Schwartz won the Schoolboy 2 (13-17) title. Schwartz would also go on to finish second in both the 250 B and 450 B classes, and finish third in the 250 B/C class.Seth Hammaker and Lance Kobusch both contested the 250 Pro class, which had a two-moto format. After a fierce afternoon of battles with the lead pack in both motos, Hammaker finished fourth overall with a 3-4 moto score, while his teammate Kobusch placed eleventh overall with a 7-14 moto score.

"Mammoth is an event that has many challenges, but it's definitely one of Team Green's favorite races of the year," said Team Green Manager, Ryan Holiday. "With proper bike set up being more critical than any other race, we probably see every Kawasaki customer that participates. It's a great opportunity to show what Team Green can do for our customers and we enjoy the experience."

The Kawasaki motorcycles of the Team Green riders weren't the only ones garnering lots of attention up on the mountain; the all-new 2019 KX™450 was on display in the Kawasaki Podium area, where many had their first look at the bike since its debut. Also on display were the latest details of the 2019 Kawasaki Team Green KX Racer Support Program and Kawasaki Racing Contingency with more than $7 million dollars up for grabs, making this a great time to join Team Green.

The scenic Mammoth Mountain venue provided Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green the opportunity to enjoy additional activities on their downtime such as, golfing, fishing, mountain biking and more as once again Mammoth Motocross delivered another great family event.
