In 2018, Savatgy landed on the Monster Energy® AMA Supercross podium a total of four times, including a win, earning him a fourth overall in the series. Savatgy earned a spot on the factory Monster Energy Kawasaki team for 2019 and in his debut race for the team aboard the new 2019 KX™450 at the Monster Energy Cup, Savatgy proved that he had the speed to run up front in the premier class by landing on the podium in third place.
Savatgy showed up in 2017 under the prestigious Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki tent as one of the favorites to win a 250SX Class title. The Georgia native scored his first win of the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross east coast season at the opening round in Minneapolis and showed consistent improvement with four second-place finishes in a row, finish the season third overall.
After winning three main events and capturing three podium finishes, Joey Savatgy finished second in the 250cc Supercross West Championship by one point. Savatgy continued his winning ways outdoors finishing third overall with four moto wins.
Savatgy came into the 2015 250cc Pro Motocross Championship eager to put his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki racing team on the top of the podium after a strong supercross season finishing fourth overall. Savatgy would not disappoint as he captured nine top ten finishes with two third place finishes, one second and an overall win coming at Unadilla.
Misfortune followed Savatgy into the 2014 season causing him to miss supercross due to injury. He would return to action at Round two of the 250cc Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown and continued to progress throughout the summer, finishing in the top ten overall in the last five rounds including his first career podium with second overall in Indiana. He finished 11th overall in the 250 Pro Motocross Championship. Savagty made his debut with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki racing team in 2015.
Savatgy made his professional debut in the 250cc West Supercross Championship where he scored six top ten finishes to earn 250cc Supercross Rookie of the Year. Savatgy made it through the first five rounds of the 250cc motocross season with his best performance at High Point where he finished fifth in the second moto and ninth overall before sitting out the rest of the season due to injury.
