Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green Closes Out a Strong Grand National Cross Country Series Season

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (Oct. 27, 2025) - Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green tackled the 2025 Grand National Cross Country season head-on, securing victories and overcoming challenges. The team battled through adversity over the weekend at the GNCC finale at Ironman Raceway, but together they finished off the season with 10 Pro Class victories and 10 Pro Class podiums.

Rachael Archer came into the weekend leading the WXC points standings with her sights set on defending her title. Archer pulled the holeshot and led the first few miles before a mistake caused her to lose time. She attempted to regain the lost time, but she wasn’t able to pass the leaders, finishing third in the class and second in the WXC Championship. “I am beyond bummed. I know I was capable of winning this race and the championship. The chips just didn’t fall my way,” said Archer.

Team leader, Steward Baylor, started off the race strong, only to jar his back on a breaking bump and be forced to pull in. “It is a huge bummer to be unable to finish this race. I gave it my all, but aggravated an old injury and just couldn’t finish the race,” said Baylor.

Grant Baylor put in a strong performance, running as high as third place before finishing fourth in XC1. “I felt great out there. Unfortunately, I had an issue with the bike that led me to drop back a bit, but I’m still happy to be in the Top 5,” said Grant.

Nick DeFeo suffered a similar injury to his teammate, tweaking his back and forcing him to ride conservatively for the duration of the race. Despite the setback, DeFeo powered through to take home sixth place in the XC2 Class.

The team is ready to push forward and will race the final round of the AMA National Enduro Series next weekend in Alabama.
