Alcoba Adds More Points with 14th-Place Finish in Race Two at Most

Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) secured additional championship points with a 14th-place finish in the second race of the FIM Supersport World Championship weekend at Autodrom Most, Czechia.

Riding his Ninja ZX-6R 636, Alcoba started Sunday’s 19-lap contest from 15th on the grid and quickly gained ground in the early laps, moving up to 12th. However, as the race progressed, a significant drop in grip affected his pace. In a dramatic final sprint to the finish line, Jeremy was edged out for 13th place by just one thousandth of a second.

Despite the challenging second race, Alcoba’s consistent performance over the weekend—including a 10th-place result in Race One—earned him a total of eight points at Most. He now holds seventh place in the overall championship standings, with seven rounds remaining in the 2024 season.

Sunday’s race was held in cool but dry conditions at the 4.212km Autodrom Most, closing out the fifth round of the WorldSSP calendar. The next event will take place at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” in Italy from 13–15 June—marking the second home round of the season for the Italian-based Kawasaki WorldSSP Team.

Jeremy Alcoba:
“Today’s race didn’t go as we had hoped. After a strong finish in Race One, the plan was to continue that momentum. I made a good start and was happy not to lose any positions—I’ve been working hard on improving my starts. The opening laps were tight, and I saw potential to move forward, but the tyre performance dropped off a lot, and I struggled to keep up the pace in the second half. It was a tough end, especially losing a position right at the line. Now we need to find a solution before Misano and keep building. I’m confident we can make another step forward at the next round.”
