Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green Pilot Ryder DiFrancesco Wins Back-to-Back SX Futures Races

Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki’s DiFrancesco once again proved himself to be the class of the SX Futures field as he looked comfortable on the track while setting lap times competitive with the 250SX Pros. DiFrancesco benefitted from the insight of former Team Green 250SX Class Champion and current Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki test rider, Ivan Tedesco. DiFrancesco and his coach Tedesco studied the riding of pro standouts, reviewed practice footage with the team, and discussed line selection with 250SX Class contender Shimoda. DiFrancesco’s focus for the SX Futures events has been to gain as much authentic Monster Energy Supercross experience as possible and it is fair to say he maximized his time well on his way to qualifying in Pole Position with a 1:08.890.

In the SX Futures Main Event, DiFrancesco rounded the first turn in second place and swiftly took control of the lead. The No.23 Kawasaki rider used his precise riding style to stretch out a sizable gap over the competition as he executed the rhythm lanes with unmatched consistency. As other riders struggled to navigate the deteriorated supercross track, DiFrancesco rose to the occasion by steadily setting the fastest lap times throughout the race. When the checkered flag flew, DiFrancesco claimed his second consecutive SX Futures Main Event win.

“I feel like I learned a lot from my experience racing the SX Futures event in Oakland that I was able to apply to my day here in Anaheim. From learning the track quick in practice to attacking the track even when it’s beat up at the end of the race, the more I do these things the better equipped I’ll be to do them well. It was awesome to get another win and I’m loving the whole experience of pitting with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team. I’m looking forward to going at it again next weekend in Glendale.”
