After finishing second in the AMA National Hare & Hound, Destry Abbott is coming out with a hunger for his fifth championship. Not only is he a four-time overall AMA National Hare and Hound Champion but he has earned four Best in the Desert (BITD) Pro Championships. He is a three-time trophy team member of the International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) and a two-time ISDE Gold Medalist. Destry enjoys playing basketball, tennis, golf and cycling.

History

2007 - Abbott battled hard in the AMA National Hare & Hound series, earning the runner-up spot in the championship race. In the WORCS series, he continued to improve from the previous year by finishing 10^th in the overall standings.

2006 - Abbott clinched his fourth AMA National Hare & Hound championship title, where he won three of the seven races. He finished the WORCS series 11th overall.

2005 - Abbott obtained a second-place overall finish in the AMA National Hare & Hound Series. He won races at Jericho, Utah and Lucerne Valley, Calif. In the WORCS series, Abbott rounded out the top 10 in the final standings.

2004 - Abbott won four races to earn his third AMA National Hare & Hound championship. Abbott also had his best year in the WORCS series capturing fourth.

2003 - Abbott secured his second Best in the Desert championship. He also earned a solid second-place finish overall in the AMA National Hare & Hound Series.

2002 - Abbott returned to the Best in the Desert earning his second championship in the series. In the AMA National Hare & Hound series, he placed fourth overall.

2001 - Abbott won back-to-back championships in the AMA National Hare & Hound Series.

2000 - Abbott earned his first AMA National Hare & Hound championship.

1999 - Contending three different series, Abbott won his first Best in the Desert championship. He finished in second-place in the AMA National Hare & Hound Series and fourth-place in the AMA National Enduro Series
