Department: National Sales
Reports To: Manager, National Dealer
This position provides primary administrative
support for Dealer Development functions including
reviewing, tracking, acknowledging, following up,
and reporting on various stages of the dealer
application process within an assigned territory.
This position has a secondary responsibility of
assisting the Vehicle Customer Service desk with
taking dealer calls, processing orders and other
various tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include
the following and may be performed personally or
through subordinate staff. Other duties may be
- Assumes primary responsibility for new
applications, buyouts, existing changes, dealer
set-up processing and follow-up. Ensures each
function is completed accurately and in a timely
- Updates and maintains application process in
the Application Tracking Processing System (ATPS).
Provides ATPS update recommendations to ATPS
programmers as needed.
- Communicates with KMC sales force, KMFC and
KMC Credit regarding the status of applications on
a consistent basis
- Assumes primary responsibility for reading and
routing incoming mail. Locates and attaches
appropriate file to correspondence to ensure
proper follow up.
- Composes and prepares routine correspondence
relating to the status of dealer transaction
files. Files correspondence and other records.
- Maintains accuracy and follows through
consistently on dealer application process.
Coordinates application process through its
- Assumes back-up responsibility of assisting
the Vehicle Customer Service desk. Takes vehicle
orders, processes dealer to dealer transfers, and
handles any adjustments or cancellation pertaining
to vehicle orders. Provides information to dealers
and sales personnel on product availability and
order status and receives, analyzes, and resolves
dealer problems concerning vehicle orders and
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) or equivalent from a
four-year college and one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and
Excel. Some experience with Application Tracking
Systems would be helpful.
