After great success in 2008, the
Monster Energy Kawasaki off-road team is
back with the same talent that brought
Kawasaki prestigious championships in
the AMA National Hare and Hound and AMA
EnduroCross series’, along with several
major accomplishments throughout the
year.
Returning for his third year aboard the
factory Kawasaki, Ricky Dietrich comes
off the best season of his career. He
earned his first AMA EnduroCross
championship, returned from the
International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) as
the top American and second overall
individual, and finished runner-up in
the competitive WORCS series. Also
winning a championship was Destry
Abbott, who claimed a record-tying fifth
AMA National Hare and Hound title and
partnered with Dietrich and the USA
Trophy Team to earn a bronze medal
finish at the ISDE. Not to be counted
out is second-year off-road racer Damon
Huffman, who narrowly missed the AMA
EnduroCross title and finished a solid
fourth in the WORCS series.
The competition is tough in off-road
series across the country, but Dietrich,
Abbott, and Huffman have proven that
they know what it takes to be a
championship team and are ready to show
that again in 2009. |
